Flora & Fauna
Wineweal has very little wilderness left. The Empyre makes the most of this prime agricultural land, and the region is known especially for its wines and other luxury items.
Wineweal is arguably one of the main reasons for the Empyre’s growth and longevity. The exceptionally fertile soil and favorable climate have always guaranteed plentiful harvests, providing more than enough food to provide for the urban population and the armies.
This abundance of food has also allowed a diversification of crops to occur, and the noble mansions that dot the landscape are now almost invariably surrounded by vineyards which produce wines famous far beyond the Empyre.
Merriam, a trade city of note.
